Kim Beaney returns to the Barracuda's for her 7th summer. Before joining the Cudas, she was the Head Coach of the West Caldwell, NJ Dolphin summer swim team for 14 years. She lead the Dolphins from a team of 60 swimmers to 160, consistently placing in the top 2 out of 20 teams in the league. Coach Beaney believes that swimming is a great sport which allows for healthy competition. Swimming teaches children the direct relationship between hard work and results, preparing them for success as well as making the best out of failure. Kim was an assistant coach at Red Hawk Aquatic Club (formally Montclair Aquatic Club) for three winter seasons. She prefers summer swimming because of the fast paced season and the wide variety of swimmers (beginners to advanced). Her favorite aspect of coaching is witnessing swimmers meet their goals. Kim swam with Montclair Aquatic Club as an age group swimmer. She credits the discipline learned in swimming to her success in college. She graduated with honors from Pratt Institute with a Degree in Architecture. She is married and has three children and resides in Belvidere. She works part time with a construction consultant company as a drafts person. Lia Duffy will be finishing her Junior year at Hobart
